Bicycle Trips Cottage Grove Lorane 2021

These are some pictures from my most recent local trip in 2021/22 right where I live in Lane County Oregon starting from Eugene and then going on to Cresswell, Cottage Grove, Lorane and Corvallis in the early fall of 2021 and early spring of 2022.

This is an amazing mural on the side of the store. Two artists worked a full year to make it. The whole town together paid them for creating this and also writing a beautiful explanation of the mural. Quoting from the local unveiling of the mural in 2018: "The unveiling of the Lorane mural went very well on Sunday, August 12. Karen Pidgeon and Alix Mosieur received the respect and appreciation they so richly deserve. We estimated there must have been at least 100 plus people in attendance. The day was windy and the drapes covering the mural were clothes-pinned together to keep everyone from getting an early peek. After I finished my reading, long-time Lorane residents, Bruce McDonald, Gary Thompson, Jim Edwards and Jim Bailor removed the drapes to reveal the gorgeous legacy that Karen, Alix and the Lorane Community Association have provided our current and future residents. You really need to stop by the Lorane Family Store and see it in person. Photographs just do not do it justice."

I will have future pics here for more travelogues in the future.
